Another entry for the toolbox. Screencasting has really come of age in the last year or so, with really excellent, low-cost products like iShowU, Jing and now, ScreenFlow. Each has advantages, but ScreenFlow “ups the ante” by adding the ability to record a camera at the same time as capturing the screen.
It includes a simple but surprisingly useful editor that allows for selecting between multiple channels of video and audio as well as zooming into the content, and highlighting screen elements. Take a look at the the quick screencast above and you’ll see what I mean.
You’ll have to ignore the poor lighting (I used the built-in camera on my MacBook Pro). Next, lighting!
